Will Smith says he's Planning 1st tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff

This will be one for the books. If you grew up in the 80's you're sure to know this Duo. Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff that is. But if you remember correctly the two never did a full on tour.

Smith announced on Ellen DeGeneres show that he and Jazzy are gonna go on tour. He said they were doing it mainly because they never got to go one back then because of Smith became a TV star on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

"We never actually had a chance to go out and do a full tour," he said. "So, we released our first record in 1986 ... Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble was our first record, but by 1990 I was already on The Fresh Prince. So, in that time, we just we were getting started and I never actually had a chance to go on tour, so I really want to get out there and do it for real."

Think Twice Before Attempting to Rob Serena Williams

If you were a fan and just loved Serena Williams you are sure to consider her you SUPERHERO now. We want spoil it for you check out the story below and see for yourself what she had to say....

Soooooo yesterday at dinner the CRAZIEST THING happened to me. I was sitting enjoying some Chinese food (delicious may I add) and this guy stands next to me. It was only 2 of us sitting at a 4 person table just chatting like we have not seen each other in years. Anyways I digress, so this guy is standing next to me and something (I have now dubbed it my SUPERHERO sense) told me to watch him. My phone was sitting in the chair but I just didn't feel right. He was there too long. "Is he a customer?" I thought "Is he waiting on the bathroom?" nonetheless I tried to shake his this eerie feeling. However, I kept watching him from the corner of my eye. Than when least expected low and behold this common petty thief grabbed my phone and swiftly left. I looked at the chair, than shouted "Omg that dude took my phone!!" Not thinking I reacted (hence the superwoman photo) I jumped up, weaved my way in and out of the cozy restaurant (leaping over a chair or two) and chased him down. He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash! In the most menacing yet calm no nonsense voice I could muster I kindly asked him if he "accidentally" took the wrong phone. He stumbled on his words probably not expecting this to happen. While he was thinking of the right thing to say and eventually he said "Gosh you know what I did! It was so confusing in there. I must have grabbed the wrong phone." Meanwhile My phone was ringing, my superhero sidekick quailman was face timing me so he could not possibly deny the allegations. I swiftly thanked him and left. Superhero? Maybe? Or HELL YEA!! I've got the speed the jumps, the power, the body, the seduction, the sex appeal, the strength, the leadership and yet the calm to weather the storm. Always listen to your superhero inner voice. Always keep your things close! Fight for what's right. Stand for what you believe in! Be a superhero! When I got back into the restaurant I received a standing ovation. I was proud. I just showed every man in there I can stand up to bully's and other men. It was a win for the ladies! Kanye West accepts Video Vanguard Award at VMAs

On Sunday Kanye West was honored for all of his artistic and genius contributions he has given to us through his music at the MTV Video Music Awards. West joins a list that includes Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles just to name a few.

While the crowd was chanting his name for once Yeezy seemed speechless, but in classic Kanye fashion he finished with a bang.

"The contradiction is, I do fight for artists, but in that fight I somehow was disrespectful to artists. I didn't know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing," adding, "Sometimes I feel like I died for the artists' opinion, for the artist to be able to have an opinion after they were successful."

Suge Knight Collapsed after receiving $25 Million Bail

As we know Suge Knight is involved in a very serious trial for his Hit-and-Run in January that killed a mans and seriously injured another. He has had many suspect stories behind why he did what he did. Starting with a self-defense claim and later coming with he is "legally blind."

Today the court finally set a bail of $25 Million. Apparently that was a bit too much for Suge. According to sources Knight collapsed and slammed his head into a chair. He apparently has both a diabetes and blood clot problem in which he hasn't been able to get proper medical attention due to incarceration-and it is said that's what caused his collapsing.

His initial bail was set at $2 and revoked due to the court finding out about him being a 3 strike candidate and having a criminal record.

AG Da Genius Child: Soon to be Americas most Wanted

In this unique era of HIP-HOP we're in, the term Genius often gets tossed around after simply hearing a few clever bars. However, AG Griffin has not just confined himself behind a mic. Instead, he has dabbled in all phases of this art we know as HIP-HOP, from his skills on the keys, to a hot 16 freestyle, down to his creative studio productions with up and coming artist. Take a journey inside the mind of the talented "genius child" and see why it's more than just a name!!

When did you fall in love with Hip Hop?

I 1st fell in love with Hip Hop when I was a young boy riding with my uncle around my hometown. He had a nice sound system in his truck and we were bumbin that Snoop Dogg "Doggystyle" Album.

As a Producer what was the 1st beat you heard that made you just say.. this is what I wanna do?

It was definitely from JayZ 's Blueprint Album. The "All I Need" Track....The album in a whole inspired me to make beats.

So.. we have Major producers in the game now... from DJ Khaled to Pharell ..Swizz Beats.. Yezzy.. DJ Nasty.. for example. who is just killin the game in your opinion?

I would have to say Pharrell as right now. He's had a big couple years...

 Whats your style of production?

I don't think I really have a style. I like to sample as well as making original beats. I'm from the south so anything I do will have 808s!...LOL! "Kanye Shrug"

Whats the best album on a production standpoint recently and past terms?

In my opinion there are so many albums that I listened to old and new so I just wouldn't be able pick one.

When you look back at all the great work and projects you have either worked on, which track is your favorite or gives you the most sense of accomplishment?

Honestly, I did a lot of dope sh*t that hasn't been heard but I think it's gonna come from me. A song I've  done. Especially from this new tape.

Who are some artist you enjoy working with as well as some artist you would like to work more with?

I love working with my homie Papa Will, Bo National, Young Sleep, and so far as the industry I would like to work with anybody as long as I can put a verse down as well as the beat.

What is your viewpoint right now on the industry, as far as where we are in hip-hop and what direction do you think hip-hop is headed in?

I think HIP-HOP is good right now. Everybody is needed from non- lyrical rappers to the HIP-HOP purest. They're all needed because we don't need Hip-Hop sounding the same....

One of the newest and most creative ways to make music is to mix genres, what is your opinion on that and do you see yourself joining this new wave?

Yes, I see myself doing that. I mean I don't only make Hip-Hop beats, I'm very into pop as well.

Whats your favorite line ever spit?

" It takes big nuts just to be what you want to be. I'm way to cold how you gon tell me just make beats" AG Da Genius Child - Gas .. LOL...

We have heard you spit a few bars on a couple tracks, what do you prefer being artist or producer.?

I love both. I can't just be one. I'm a " Creative Writer". I don't really like the word "Rapper" lol...!

What was that feeling. when you 1st hear you voice or another artist over a AG beat?

It was a dope feeling, it would be even more dope if it were a big artist.

So for the fans, what new projects will you be working on or any appearances/feature that the fans can look  forward too.?

I got "I do it For The Love" coming real soon with videos...!

On that note what inspiration can you put out there for the young and up-n-coming?

"Do what the fuck you feel like doing and there are no rules to this shit. The internet has evened the playing field! Use it"!

Grammy's 2015: Kanye West "Only One" performance

Take a look at Kanye West Grammy performance to "Only One". His Performance was nothing short of being Yezzy.

Yezzy stepped on stage with a maroon jumpsuit. He stood in one small single circular light, shinning up from the stage as smoke slowly poured out. With that said the song which was a tribute to his daughter North West, and was also co-wrote and produced by Paul McCartney was nothing short of simple yet spoke amazing.. Check it out below....

Wayne vs Baby and Cash Money:The Saga Continues

As you all have heard, Wayne and Birdman are at odds. From the looks of it Weezy is possibly taking Cash Money boss to court, according to TMZ. Wayne threatening a lawsuit over an apparent 8 million owed to him.

Reports say they tried hashing things out, but nothing was solved. Wayne says he wants out and is asking the judge to release him from his contacts. Claiming that baby didn't live up to terms with the Tha Carter V by withholding the release. Also suing for 8 million owed from his advance on his last album.

On Sorry 4 wait 2 Weezy continues to throw shots an Baby and Cash Money. With all that being said .. hopefully this is all resolved soon because we ready for Tha Carter V release.

Hip Hop: The Vent

They are just getting by.. Who you ask.. The so called MCs that get a dope beat and start spitting out foolishness and its entertained by those that have the slightest clue as to what Hip Hop is. Don't get it twisted there isn't anything wrong with a good party track to keep the head bopping... But let's not get it confused with top Lyrics.

Sadly enough there are only a few real dope lyrical rappers that get the attention they deserve. The others just get lost in the shuffle because they aren't "commercial" enough or they can't get those dope tracks. Scrolling through social media and up comes a statement that "Kevin Gates is the best rapper out and Lil Wayne's new mixtape proves it." Ok, now there is no shade thrown at Gates because he is dope.. But no not even close and no comparison. This Hip Hop nation is a issue, people don't wanna sit and vibe out to dope lyrics any more, their brains are lazy.

A cool voice and dope beat only get you so far.. Ask the greats, such as JayZ, Nas,Weezy, just to name a few for the young generation that has forgotten. They combined lyrics 1st, then came the crazy beats came later. They have been very successful.

Here is a challenge for the people. Go home and go and listen to a artist that spits lyrics.. For the guys go check out Joe Budden, and ladies go sit and listen to Nicki Minaj, not for her crazy party track but the ones that touch your soul. I guarantee you come out with a better outlook.

For you producers I challenge you to look for the artist that has talent and not gimmick. Make em prove they deserve you A-list million dollar beats.

Until next time this has been a IAMTHEINFLUENC.com Hip Hop Vent.. Peace,Love and always keep it Hip Hop.

Hip Hop: The art of story telling and lyrics.. Is is dead?

HIP HOP, how many of you know exactly what it means. Not many huh? Exactly! What is this Hip Hop you ask? Hip Hop started in the Bronx in the 70's and soon spread throughout New York. Hip Hop is a mix of many cultures. From the Turntables to the Graffiti .. Just for a quick description, Hip Hop quickly grew and became a multicultural leader in fashion and the music industry.

Well here is a thought, name your favorite artist.. OK.. now listen to his/her music. now tell us the story they recited.... we'll wait!!! That's because unless you are a die hard ol' skool Hip Hop fan, you know absolutely nothing of the "Art of story Telling". Which is a rare occasion in today's Hip Hop.  Now don't get it twisted there are so many talented individuals in the game right now and their ability to change with times is amazing.

OK!... here is your next quiz, name a few lyrical artist, and in some occasions I've been heard called"boring artist" or "I can't dance to this" just to name a few. So can you name any..........? Did your list include J Cole , Wale, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, or Joe Budden ... Nah I doubt it. Why? mainly because sometimes you people look at heir music as "lame" which is far from the truth.

Now let's start with Joe Budden. I'm sure may of you have a few rash thoughts about this cat here. So yea yea yea .. he has had his issues with the drug thing, which we pray he gets that under control. also His love life. But, how many have actually listened to any of his music, I highly doubt anybody really listened to it. This guys last two albums " No Love Lost" and "Some Love Lost" were basically a "book on a CD" the lyrics were insane and he told the stories of his life. You can either late or you feel as if you are there as the track spills into your soul. Dope right. I even remember hearing a DJ/Producer criticize the beats, com on man.. you don't deserve to be a DJ if that's all you heard. But the point is he go this Hip Hop and story telling under wraps...Give him his props ..very under rated dude.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/born-sinner-deluxe-version/id651105499?uo=4&at=1l3vqPoNext on the let us discuss J Cole... "speechless" . Still tryna figure out why he doesn't get the love he deserves.I mean we talkin bout the same guy that the GOAT Jay Z signed to Roc Nation, the same guy Nas gave props to.. We talkin bout two of the greatest EVER!!!. So why does he not get that RESPECT. His Recent Album  2014 Forest Hills Drive, INSANE album. No singles, no features just straight drop.. No wait he #1 right now .. I guess he done got his respect.. "HOLLYWOOD COLE" keep doing you Son! And all  u Haters go get the Album and get some real music in ya life.

Wale... yup.. MMG's very own poet behind the mike. This guy here can out flow anybody..BUt the nay sayers say all he talk about is love, or he not "Gangsta" enough. I wish i could hear what some people definition of gangsta is..Its guaranteed this guy music will vibe out any arena. 'Just Wait" and Listen.

Check this tho.. Its a few more that could be named , but as they say that's too much to type. Drake, yea he sing and rap.. SO WHAT!!! He can kill any track and you understand the meaning of every title to every track, the best at what he does. The Barb Nicki...yea she got it on lock... An lets not forget the Up n coming 3DNATEE. New Orleans Breead and can shut most dudes down. check her out she got many stories to tell..

Alright alright.. thas enough real for you folks. Just don't forget Hip Hop is not just the glitz and Glamor. Its our way to express. A new Genre. Its versatile , the fashion creator, HIP HOP is running the word, Lets not waste it. Keep the REAL music going The Lyrics, the stories, most importantly the LOVE of the craft. Lets make more movements. Your answer no "The Art" isn't dead we just only have a select few that still possess that skill. This has been a IAMTHEINFLUENCE.COM moment by  non other than "Mr IAMTHEINFLUENC" as we like to say "Keep it Hip Pop and may God bless"

Sugarhill Gang's Big Bank Hank dies at 57

We have lost a legend in Hip Hop. A member of Sugarhill Gang has passed away Tuesday due to cancer complications.

Henry Jackson better known as "Big Bank Hank" passed away Tuesday morning in Englewood, New Jersey. He was 57 years old.

He was a part of the groups hit song "Rappers Delight" a song that in one version is more than 14 minutes long. A song that became the 1st rap song to hit top 40 on the U.S Billboard Charts. He had one of the more well known lines in the song ....

"Ho-tel, mo-tel, Holiday Inn/ if your girl starts acting up then you take her friend"

His two band mates Wonder Mike and Master Gee issued a emotional statement Tuesday.

"So sad to hear about our brother's passing. The 3 of us created musical history together with the release of Rapper's Delight. We will always remember traveling the world together and rocking the house. Rest in peace Big Bank."
The three friends were unknown MCs when producer Sylvia Robinson recruited them to record the song for her rap label, Sugar Hill Records.

Juvenile inks a deal with Cash Money

So, through out the years we have heard that the "Original Hot Boyz" was gonna get back together. Unfortunately, that has never happened. As the rest of the world has watched  Baby aka "Birdman" bring Cash Money Records from the New Orleans Label to a world wide powerhouse label.

Recently Juve sat down for a second to talk with MTV new stating,

“It’s already done. I signed the paperwork a couple days ago. I’m signed back,” he revealed. “Rich Gang, I’m getting ready to get my little tattoo and everything. It’s all love, man. I’m back.”

Anybody that has followed Cash Money knows that Juvenile and Cash Money were not on the best of terms for many years because of some issues with compensation. So in 2003 Juvenile left the crew!
Juvenile had a number of hits while he was a member of Cash Money such as 1997 Soulja Ragz.
