KANYE "DEPOSED" In Kim's Divorce but "WHY"

WHY is Kris Humphries such a sour puss of his divorce with Kim Kardashian... IDK !!! DO YOU. Lets ask her new boo Kanye West. Well I think we will all soon find out. The NBA player and his legal team have just gotten Mr West involved more than he may have wanted too. Kanye was ordered to sit for a deposition. Does Kris know something we don't ...probably not.....

Nothing has been put out just yet o what went down in the deposition. BUT according to TMZ, Kanye was bring in because TEAM HUMPHRIES thinks they may have a upper hand in the battle. The well publicized marriage between the two lasted a whopping 72 days before the two officially called it quits. Not too long afterwards Kanye and Kim K began their romance. Humphries team may be on to something, they may think that the new couples relationship violates the prenup ???

Laura Wasser, Kim's attorney is arguing saying that the whole deposition was a "fishing expedition", basically WASTING TIME, to get away from the matter at hand. In the courtroom Wasser stated and i quote "She [Kim] is now handcuffed to Mr Humphries".

Kris is obviously still mad in love with Kim or he is just really mad. Either way it goes it makes him look BAD... You be the judge!!!!

NICKI MINAJ BLASTS Steven Tyler on "RACIST" Remarks

Nicki Minaj refuses to allow anyone to disrespect her. She recently busted back at Steven Tyler. Tyler a former judge of Idol seemed as if he had a bunch to say about Minaj attitude toward contestants. He seems to think that she is way to rough on them???? Really Steven!!!!!

" If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have sent him to the cornfield!" said Steven to MTV NEWS.
" Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with [past contestant] Phillip Phillips."

Nicki putting it out there that she does not like his criticism of her saying those are "racist" assumptions about her judging process without even seeing her " judge one single solitary contestant yet."

-"You assume that i wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f--k yourself and worry about yourself babe," she tweeted.

Yall thought she was done though.....!!!!! NAHHHH!!!

"LOL lets make him a shirt that says 'No Coloreds Allowed' then escort him down 2 Barbara Walters so he can tell how he was threatened w/guns." she threw n there, referring to her co-judge Mariah Carey's comments to "The View Host"

The new season of American Idol with Nicki Minaj as judge will air in January.

Drake and Chris Brown breathing sigh of relief today

Months after a nasty brawl ensued, flown bottles, and pending outside lawsuits were filed, 2 of music’s best, Chris Brown and Drake are both being let off the hook. An NYPD investigation into their club episode yielded insufficient evidence and neither artist will face any criminal charges let alone jail time. Although several patrons of the club were injured including NBA all-star Tony parker, both will be cleared of the incident as well as their personal entourage’s who probably did  more damage than either of them. The NYPD concluded that after watching video and receiving tons of conflicting statements from witnesses there is not enough  to continue forward with an investigation that has already lasted 5 months.
The clash of the two hip-hop titans occurred back in June at New York’s Club WIP. Other than a few choice words by breezy oh and an emphatic diss track about Drake, there hasn’t been much of a feud since. The dust has settled, and whatever rumors of Rihanna being the reason have ceased, as she and breezy seem to be a couple once again. However, staying out of jail is the good news right now for both Brown and Drake but the bad news could come soon enough if these host of pending law suits start to go through.

Assassination with sophistication

When you think of an assassination, you typically think of the long sniper rifle attempts from afar. In North Korea that apparently is too easy. North Korean officials have stumbled upon the latest assassination techniques. The advancements are as simple as a ball point pen but when twisted it’s a sophisticated killing machine. Where a normal ink pen point would retract, these deadly pens contain poisonous needles instead. The assassin would only have to brush up on you and give you a slight prick with the pen. First you would immediately start to suffer from muscle paralysis which would lead to suffocation and before you know you are dead in a very short period of time. Korean officials say this is just one of the weapons found on an assassin recently, fortunately his attempt was spoiled. Other similar weapons were found as well including another pen that shoots a bullet with similar toxins as the first pen and also one disguised as a flashlight. Officials say the target for the use of these weapons was an activist in North Korea, however what’s stopping these easily disguised weapons from making it on a plane to countries such as the U.S?

Powerball Jackpot climbs to a new record

For weeks lottery fanatics have flooded convenient stores in hopes of cashing in big. After another winless week the Powerball jackpot has rocketed to a whopping $425 million. Saturday’s drawing was the 4th largest pot ever at $325 million. 15 consecutive drawings have come up empty but the next big opportunity is Wednesday. In 2006 the largest pot got to an insane $365 million, no one ever thought it  would reach the 300’s but here we are 6 years later staring at a $425 million dollar pot. Although this is the largest multistate lottery pot, it still doesn’t touch the U.S payout record of $656 million. Back in March that was claimed by 3 winners who played the Mega Millions jackpot drawing. The current Powerball stakes are held in 42 states, District of Columbia and the U.S Virgin Islands.

Americas first openly bi-sexual Congresswoman

Newly elected congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema, is making headlines everywhere but not for her new seat or residing from the great state of Arizona. Sinema is the first openly bi-sexual member elected to congress. The democrat is a former politician, social worker, and professor turned congresswoman. The irony in it all is as Sinema becomes the new elect for the 9th district, she does so in a straight forward conservative state of Arizona. A republican state where their tough as nails on every issue including gun laws, immigration, and where many consider the state to be unconstitutional to its crime offenders. Arizona is home to radical republicans such as John McCain, and Sinema has received a welcome so far anything short of radical. After admitting she has no religious connections or belongs to no religious faith, she has been labeled an atheist and a witch. One thing Krsyten Sinema has also been labeled is strong and tough. She’s going to need every beat of that toughness to survive in a state that’s not exactly jilting a warm welcome thus far.

Black Friday madness does it again

Another year goes by and millions of people pack it in at their favorite black Friday venue. Many of the shopping crazed individuals cancelled thanksgiving to camp out on hard, cold pavement for the opportunity at the first crack of presents. Well thanks to these ridiculous efforts of the givers, this year’s black Friday set a record with 247 million shoppers. This is a 9% jump from last year’s 226 million. Not only were there more shoppers, there were bigger spenders. The official total according to the NRF (National Retail federation) is $59 billion in the 4 day spread, which is a 13% climb from last year. This is largely thanks to advertising and of course the media propaganda as well, who entices new shoppers every year who ordinarily don’t get involved in the chaos. Nevertheless NRF is predicting a cyber-Monday record as well, and I’m predicting crashing servers and viral meltdowns.

Boxing Legend Camacho dies after fatal gunshots

Days after being fatally wounded in his home town of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Hector Camacho Sr. was taken off life support and declared dead. The 50 year old was shot in the face and neck in a parked car outside a bar in Bayamon. After a few nighst in a San Juan hospital, doctors pronounced Camacho brain dead. The night of the shooting, a friend of Camacho’s, Adrian Moreno was also shot in the same car but died at the scene of the crime. Also at the scene was 9 baggys of cocaine found on and around Moreno. Police have not have not formally called this a drug related incident but have not ruled it out.
Hector “Macho” Camacho, was known for many things including his run-ins with the law but more so for being one hell of a boxer. Today’s boxers could only dream of leaving the legacy he left inside the ring. His reign in boxing stretched over 3 decades. Over the years he fought the best pound for pound fighters. One of the best rivalries of all time the boxing world will never forget was with his nemesis Julio Cesar Chavez. Other historic battles against big name challengers were Sugar Ray Leonard, Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya and Roberto Duran. The south paw finished his career with 88 wins, 79 by KO, and only 6 losses. Hector Macho Camacho is survived by his mother, sister and 4 sons, including his protégé Hector Macho Camacho Jr.

As if Sandy wasn’t bad enough, criminals take advantage

As the survivors of Hurricane Sandy and police officials still deal with the destruction and chaos amongst broken cities, another storm brews simultaneously. Thieves and con men are waiting at every turn to make profits off the misfortunes of people from the northeast. The callous acts range from price gouging, to looting, and insurance scandals. Many don’t know what to make of this, whether its survival tactics by many or just cruelty by a few. Looters in New York are being arrested by the dozens for syphoning gas to robbery and grand theft. This type of activity is becoming common during natural disasters. It was seen during hurricane Katrina as well as the twisters in the mid-west and tornado alley. Other criminal activities include the insurance scandals and frauds. Some are making false claims of for damage while others are just out of luck with the lack of government aid or insurance. Also some survivors are being fooled by con men posing as insurance adjusters. They tell these emotional and grieve stricken people they have to pay a deductible to get their houses rebuilt or to receive checks for assistance and of course they are unaware it’s a scam until the check is written or the cash leaves their hand. Some of the more unusual crimes involve craigslist ads, and the hoarding of gas. Where does the wickedness end?

C.I.A Scandal, something you on see or hear in the movies

In a plot you only see in the movies, a business man out of New York says that Jill Kelley asked him for an $80 million commission if she used her influence to win a South Korean business contract. Kelley, if you remember triggered an FBI investigation that led to the resignation of CIA Director David Petraeus, by claiming she was a representative of the South Korean government. After doing some digging the South Korean Foreign Ministry, realized Kelley has no weight in the S.K Government and is simply a "special consul" and this title comes with no official responsibilities. With the opportunity of commission on a $4 billion natural gas deal, Kelley tried to infiltrate the trust of vice president of TransGas Development Systems and force a deal. An investigation was sparked and her plan was spoiled. This was not Kelley’s first rodeo; she has tried before convincing someone she had privileges of a special diplomatic status. This Sunday, during a 911 call she claimed a man she didn't know was on her property, and described herself as an "honorary consul general", she just doesn’t stop while she’s behind.

Hostess doors close, but that’s not the end of the “TWINKIE”

America has started to mourn the loss of the beloved fat kid snack, Twinkie, but not so fast, the snack may still be thriving sooner than we think. While Hostess Brands Inc. closes up shop we may have not seen the last of the Twinkie. Of course it has been just as big of hit as the Big Mac throughout the years, and it may continue to be one if someone decides to take over Hostess’s biggest seller. Reports are saying the in the midst of the Hostess bankruptcy finalization, a bidding war is underway between a number of corporations waiting to capitalize on the Twinkie craze. At this time Hostess does not want to relinquish the info as to what corprations have inquired, but sources say they range from small town bakery corporations to colossal hitters like Pepsi Co. I think we can rest assure Twinkie is alive and well and about to have a new home soon, and in an even more expensive rapper.

JFK worker attempts to steal 3,600 Ipad mini’s, FBI spoils plan

A JFK Airport cargo worker attempted the dumbest heist FBI Agents have seen in quite a long time. Renel Richardson and 2 other accomplices, who will remain unknown at the time, thought they had a brilliant idea but seemingly brought the house down on their own plan with stupidity. Richardson who had access to the 2 crates of Ipad min’s containing 1800 each, drew suspicion before the attempt by avidly inquiring the whereabouts of the crates before they came in initially. Not only did this spook someone to give up Richardson but he posted an ad on Craigslist prior to the heist telling buyers he needed to sell them all tonight. He set the plan in motion by hiring 2 guys to unload the crates with a fork lift into a waiting trailer. Unfortunately his suspicious activity at work tipped off his co-workers who notify authorities. They tailed Richardson all the way until the mission was nearly complete. I’m sure you will see this one on Americas dumbest criminals in the near future.

Family of bank robbers arrested in Texas

In Texas they have a new motto, “a family that robs together stays together”. This motto was adopted by a father, son and daughter in southeastern Texas. The trio is tied to a pair of bank robberies in Texas and quite possibly five other robberies in their home state of Oregon. After getting away with a number of the robberies, the bandit family is in the Fort Bend County Jail. In a press release reported on Friday, Texas Sheriff's Office identified the three as 50-year-old Ronald Scott Catt, his 20-year-old son Hayden Scott Catt and his 18-year-old daughter Abigail Catt. Before the initial arrests, police were able to figure out they'd seen the father and son before in disguise on a surveillance video around the 1st Community Credit Union in Katy. The camera footage shows a young man with a fake mustache and an older man in a painter's mask, wearing sunglasses, hats and orange traffic vests that had an "X" on the back. After that robbery, detectives went to a Home Depot near the sheriff's office and found the distinctive orange vests. Shortly afterwards police traveled to a Home Depot about 14 miles north in Katy, where they found stolen license plates between the October 1 robbery and one in August in nearby Harris County. With all the casing and videotapes they were able to piece together the whereabouts of the 3, who are now in a Texas jail.

Ladies and gentlemen, IAMTHEINFLUENC.com presents “JZAC”. Hailing from the small town of Derry, New Hampshire, Jerry Zajac is embarking on a journey that will lift off from “space town” eventually landing him on the hip-hop charts. The Town of Derry has been known as the birthplace of the first American in Space, but soon it will be the home of a star, “JZAC. The 21 year olds latest single is “Make Believe2”, the follow up to his first hit “Believe in Make Believe”. Be sure to check them out and get familiar with who he is!

IAMTHEINFLUENC: Who is Jzac and where did the name come from?
JZAC is a 21 year old hip hop artist from New Hampshire. I came up with the name by putting my first and last name together (Jerry Zajac). I wanted to keep it short and sweet, something people can remember but also something that fit my image.

IAMTHEINFLUENC:  Where is JZAC from and what type of upbringing did he have?
JZAC: My family and I moved to New Hampshire when I was about four years old. Before that we lived in the Boston area, but I was too young to really remember that. I had a very different upbringing than most kids, mainly because everyone is my family is from Poland. I was the only one of my siblings born in the United States so I definitely learned a lot growing up in a Polish household while still living in America. I really got to experience two different cultures growing up.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: Who has influenced your life the most and why?
JZAC: I honestly don't think I can limit it to just one person. I had so many influences growing up from my parents, siblings, to the group of friends I grew up with. I think a strong mix of all of those really helped me keep my head on my shoulders and my mind in the right place.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What is your most memorable hip-hop moment as a child?
JZAC: I think there was a couple. As cliché as it sounds for a "white rapper" hearing Eminem's "Marshall Mathers LP" was really memorable for me. I didn't even know who he was at the time, but I remember my brother buying the album and listening to it, and of course anything your big brother likes you're probably going to like too. I think that was in like 4th or 5th grade. Another memorable moment for me was listening to Nas "Illmatic" as a whole. I started listening to that album freshman and sophomore year of high school and I was just blown away from a hip hop standpoint. Everything from the lyricism, storytelling, to the beats was incredible; especially to think that he released that in 94' is really awesome.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: When did you fall in love with Hip-Hop?
JZAC: I would say 4th or 5th grade. I used to tape all my favorite songs off the radio so I could listen to them around the house all the time. Of course I didn't know what 70% of the lyrics even meant, but something about it just pulled me in.

IAMTHEINFLUEC: Before you knew rapping was what you wanted to do, what career did you see yourself in as a child?
JZAC: I always wanted to play in the NBA. I'm a kid who picks one thing and sticks with it. Growing up it was basketball. I was convinced I was going pro; as time went on I realized that wasn't really my calling haha. Don't be fooled though I can still ball a little bit!

IAMTHEINFLUENC: When did you write your very first lyric or song? What was it about and what was it called?
JZAC: I used to scribble down lyrics for fun all the time as a kid, but writing down something and recording it for the first time happened my freshman year of college. The song was actually over T-Pain's "Buy U A Drank" instrumental. I was so thrilled my friend told me he can record a rap song in Garageband on his Macbook. It was about picking up girls and all that jazz, it’s safe to say I've come a long way since then.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: Who was the first person or audience to hear your music and how did they respond after hearing Jzac?
JZAC: It was all my friends from college. They loved it at the time; they were the ones who actually kept inspiring me to do more. They were all about it; I was kind of embarrassed for people to hear me just because I was scared of being judged. I can care less about what people think nowadays though.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What life altering experience has changed your life and helped you become the man you are today?
JZAC: That's another one question I can't just limit to one answer. Everything from family troubles, girls, friends, and just growing up in general. I feel like we as humans just go through so much in our daily lives, which really shapes us into the people we are today.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: Who were some of the artist you idolized as a kid, as well as some of your favorites today?
JZAC: Growing up it was artists like Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, and even 50 cent. I like a wide variety of artists I feel like that always surprises people. Favorites today to name  few; J. Cole, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Logic, Childish Gambino, XV, Frank Ocean. That’s only a few the list goes on obviously.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What artist would you like to work with the most or you feel you could have the perfect collaboration with?
JZAC: Kanye West! No question, I would love collaboration somewhere down the line with him.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: As there are very few white rappers, what makes you think you can be one of the ones to thrive in the hip-hop game, and what are some things that separate you from other up and coming artist?
JZAC: Originality! As I continue to stride as an artist I'm starting to realize that not many rappers are doing it like me. On top of the talent I have, I sit in the studio every day and just master my craft. Don't get me wrong I still have a lot to improve on, but the work ethic is undeniable. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world starts to catch on.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What are some personal goals that you are hoping to achieve on your way to becoming a successful rapper?
JZAC: Mainly just giving back to people and telling my story. Obviously I have certain expectations and milestones that I will reach, but spreading my message to as many people as possible is the best feeling.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
JZAC: At the top of the hip hop charts, and of course I mean that in the most humble manner.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What makes you confident enough to say you will be successful as a rapper?
JZAC: Everything from work ethic to talent and the right mind state. This isn't an overnight process, it takes years but with enough time, patience, and the right people around me there’s nothing we can't do.

IAMTHEINFLUENC: What is it you would like the world to know about JZAC?
JZAC: I'm not in it to make a paycheck I'm in it to make a difference.

Lauryn Hill straightens out Wyclef in concert

Lauryn Hill has ended her silence. The hip hop diva took the time at a recent concert of hers to call out a certain someone, her former friend and band member Wyclef Jean.  If you remember, Clef informed the world he had a fling with Lauryn a while back. In September, Jean dropped a bomb in his first autobiography titled “Purpose”. In it talks about his so called intimate dealings and relationship with Hill. The biggest bombshell of them all in the book is his accusations that Hill conned him into believing her first child was his. The scandal was all over the Internet and the music world was buzzing. Even though the heat died down Lauryn never responded until as of late on tour in Dallas. She finally addressed Clef in a quick subliminal plug.
"Let me tell you why I don't chat back. Because I know that my brothers and my sisters are often times pawns in a bigger scheme so when they, under pressure, attack me, I love them still," said Hill. "It's called the high road. Try taking it sometime."

Hill is on tour with rapper Nas kicking some of her classics as well as dropping some new joints. Along with music performances she educates her audiences about the struggles in Haiti, Jamaica, as well as America, Europe and other continents.

Lakers cancel Phil for D’Antoni, what really happened?

Days after firing head coach Mike Brown, General Manager Mitch Kupchak made no secret about who the Lakers were targeting as a replacement. Despite appointing assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff as the interim manager, the organization was determined to find a suitable replacement right away. What better replacement than the last man to get them to the promise land, Phil Jackson. The Lakers front office reached out to Phil, who is known for taking tremendous talent and turning into championship material. This would no doubt seem like another one of those win-win situations for both, especially Phil, getting the addition of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Sure enough, the meetings were set, and the two sides would lay it all on the table Saturday for what seem liked a definite deal. To land the Zen-master again it was going to take some serious wheeling and dealing by the Laker front office. First and foremost for a man who does nothing but win, and has 11 NBA Championships under his belt, the money was going to have to be right. Sources say the dollar amount could have to be in the neighborhood of $15 million. The possible deal breaker which would be most concerning for both sides is the health of Phil. In his last stint with L.A, Jackson had to take road games off and rest his ailing back, an issue that has plagues him for several coaching seasons. With his looming health, and large payout to Jackson, Kupchak and Owner Jerry Buss had a tough decision to make.

After meeting with late Saturday night, reports say both sides were excited and looking forward to an announcement early in the coming week. Unfortunately the announcement would not be the one anyone expected. Lakers front office would contact Phil Jackson early Monday morning to tell him his services were not needed and that they were going with another candidate. Phil knew this meant Mike D’Antoni, who was said to be the next best option if the Jackson deal fell thru. Monday night Phil expressed his displeasure for the decision, saying he was disappointed and looking forward to coming back. It’s not exactly how I wanted to wake up he adds, "I wish it would have been a little bit cleaner," Jackson said in a Monday night telephone interview with The Times. "It would have been much more circumspect and respectful of everybody that's involved. It seemed slimy to be awoken with this kind of news. It's just weird."
"After speaking with several excellent and well-respected coaching candidates, Dr. Buss, Jim and I all agreed that Mike was the right person at this time to lead the Lakers forward," Kupchak said in a statement Monday, referring to Jim Buss and also team owner Jerry Buss. The Laker fans and players both were surprised there was no deal made with Jackson including point guard Steve Nash. “It would be nice to run the triangle offense under Phil, but I like Mike as well” says Nash, who played under D’Antoni in Phoenix. Mike D’Antoni has had 8 coaching jobs including 2 overseas. His last stint in the NBA was at the helm in New York trying to get the dysfunctional Knicks under control. After opening up the season with a poor record similar to one Mike Brown left in L.A, the Knicks fired D’Antoni. Speculation of why pointed the blame to Carmelo Anthony, who had turmoil with D’Antoni. Nevertheless the 2 would reconcile over the summer winning gold alongside D’Antoni’s newest Olympian, Kobe Bryant. Kobe has made it known he likes the new chief and they gained a lot of respect for each other this summer in London. Kobe said yesterday “it’s been a wild week to say the least.
I’m happy to have closure and can't wait to get to work with Coach D'Antoni on spacing and ball movement. Despite the chatter, I believe we will be phenomenal defensively. I’m looking forward to getting started with him and his staff this week”. Since the demise of Mike Brown the Lakers have looked a lot better and almost start winning instantly, beginning with the first night of Brown’s firing. An offense that looked lethargic is starting to mesh, and the defense has surfaced from practice gym finally. After a 1-4 start the Lakers are now 3-4. They have somewhat crawled out of the hole but there will be an even bigger one waiting if they don’t catch up in the pacific standings.

Ice Cube says Friday will get made WIth or Without you Chris

In the beginning Ice Cube says the next installment of "Friday" would be mainly about Chris Tucker, hoping that he would hop on board the film.

In a recent interview with Huffington Post, they asked about a statement Tucker made on Tom Joiner Morning Show, stating that he wasn't sure if he would return to play a part in the 4th installment of Friday. Saying that the magic of the first movie just would not be there.

Cube Says the film has been written and is only waiting on notes from New Line Cinema.
Responding to Tuckers words, Cube says. "Well, my magic is still here so the movie is going to get done." One person not being in the film isn't going to stop it.

He has yet to offer anyone roles in the film but, did offer some professional advice for Tucker, who Cube seems be passionate on having him in the film. "You should never outgrow your fans," Cube stated. "If the fans want him in this movie, that's what we're in this for, then that's what he should do.'

Florida, late to the dance as usual

Days later after the world nearly forgot they were still counting, Florida finally decides who they voted for. The majority elected to return President Obama back to his seat in the white house. Despite the 4 day hold up in the sunshine state, Obama was able to collect the 274 electoral votes while the night was still young. Of course there’s no exact word as to why Florida was late to the party, but it’s becoming a continuous problem. If you remember years ago the famous “recount scandal”, where Florida needed to recount millions of votes after there was some accusations of tampering. This year the words tampering have not be thrown around however there is clearly some cause for concern and obvious voting issues throughout the counties of Florida. Among the voting woes, thousands of registered voters had their ballots disqualified after failing to apply their John Hancock. Also some counties reported that many machines had mysteriously switched votes from candidate to candidate. In his acceptance speech President Obama made a comment in reference to finding better solutions for voting. On his agenda list maybe he can find a solution for Florida because there is no doubt there are problems, and it’s starting to point to voter fraud.

2016 potential candidates

A week in to Obama’s 2nd term, there is already speculation as to who will run in the 2016 presidential election. 2 of the possible candidates are sitting under the cabinet of President Obama. When asked was this his last time voting casting a vote for himself, Vice President Joe Biden said “he doesn’t think so”. Over a month ago during the Obama campaign, he made a speech where he said “And after its all over, when your insurance rates go down, then you’ll vote for me in 2016”. As he has not officially announced anything yet, but many seem to think Joe will run with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as his running mate and future VP. Hilary has declined any statements confirming or denying her running with Joe, but in a magazine interview last month she did say she was not going to run for president. Among those slated to begin the race in 2016 are Governors Bob McDonnell, from Jersey Chris Christie, Wisconsin’s Scott Walker, Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal.

Same sex marriage states and legalized marijuana

We not only re-elected the president to a second term but some states got a bit of an upgrade too or in some peoples thoughts, a downgrade. After battling the issue for years, a handful of states have gotten on aboard for the approval of same sex marriages. It’s a subject that has brought a scatter of mixed emotions. The new same sex states are Maryland, Maine, Washington, Connecticut,  Iowa, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. The decision will impact greatly on each state especially financially. Along with gay marriages, legalized marijuana is making its home in a couple states after this year’s election. Colorado and Washington have decided “yes” to the recreational use of marijuana. Citizens who are 21 years or older can now legally purchase marijuana without requiring a medical prescription. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper urged citizens "don't break out the Cheetos or the Goldfish too quickly." By this he was implying that it is legal however the kinks still need to be worked out and it’s going to take time for the proper planning and organization as far as possible distribution and the implementation of affiliating laws.

BCS Standings: shake up

This week’s BCS standings are going to be tossed around a bit once again. This weekend #1 Alabama, who many thought were the strongest and most complete team in the nation, fell like goliath. #15 Texas A&M, led by the superb freshman Johnny “Football” Manzell, struck a mighyt a blow and knocked the Crimson Tide off the pedestal. Manzell was illusive with his feet and accurate with his arm, and in the end A.J McCarron couldn’t engineer the tying scoring drive to save their loss column and possibly their season. With the loss that leaves only 3 unbeaten teams in the ranks of the BCS. Who is the new number 1, 2, and 3 and how far will Alabama fall this week?
1 Kansas State 10-0
2 Oregon 10-0
3 Notre Dame 10-0
4 Alabama 9-1
5 Georgia 9-1
6 Florida 9-1
7 LSU 8-2
8 Texas A&M 8-2
9 South Carolina 8-2
10 Florida State 9-1

NFL Recap

The talk of this weekend in the NFL was the unbeaten Atlanta Falcons going into New Orleans taking on the red hot Saints. Matt Ryan and the dirty birds have been the picture of perfection this year with an 8-0 start, but Brees and the Saints are back in sync and have found that prolific offense were use to seeing. Atlanta struck first and the early on but it was the New Orleans defense that stepped up and sealed the 31-27 win and knocking Atlanta off the unbeaten throne. Although it wasn’t enough, Ryan put up MVP like numbers, 411 yards and 3 touchdowns. Brees finished with a modest 298 yards, 3 touchdowns; behind solid running from Chris Ivory and Mark Ingram who combined, ran for 139.

Lakers Fire Brown , Phil Possible Replacement

After a dismal 1-4 start, Los Angeles Lakers front office have decided to terminated Coach Mike Brown. Brown was the successor to legendary coach Phil Jackson who won several championships as Lakers head man. In his one shortened season, Brown didn’t earn a championship but he did take the Lakers to a pacific division best 41-25 record. However they were ousted by the OKC Thunder in an embarrassing 4 game sweep. After a couple of off season acquisitions, Lakers fans as well the Laker staff had high expectations for its team this year. The team acquired Steve Nash and center Dwight Howard formulating what on paper maybe the most impressive starting five in the NBA. So far in 5 games it hasn’t panned out and the front office begun to get restless with losses. Before the initial start of the season the Lakers had lost all 10 pre-season games, which sparked some concern but it was over looked by many because after all it is “just the pre-season.” Nevertheless the regular season starting the same way and the “we’ll be ok” speeches by Coach Brown and guard Kobe Bryant proved to not be enough for General Manager Mitch Kupchak to spare Brown’s job.
The Lakers GM released this statement: "Today we relieved Mike Brown of his head coaching duties with the Los Angeles Lakers. Mike is a good man. He is very hard working, maybe one of the hardest-working coaches that I've ever been around. The bottom line is that the team is not winning at the pace that we expected this team to win and we didn't see improvement. We wish Mike well and we're sorry it ended this way. So, we've decided to move in another direction and make a change." Right now the Lakers have turned to assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff to replace Brown temporarily but the staff already has a few candidates in mind. The obvious #1 pick for job is the zen master himself. With an abundance of rings and a system that won him three in Los Angeles, the Lakers will indeed reach out to Phil Jackson for his return. Will he decide to come back is the question? Everyone knows for Phil to make that move it will have to be the perfect situation with the right players, and who better than the added pieces of Howard and Nash to go along with Kobe and Pao. Also making this deal work will be the money issue and how much will be Phil’s fee. The other candidate who is no doubt a runner up and plan B, is Mike D’antoni. D’antoni is a methodical court wiz who assisted this summer’s Olympic team to gold, so there will be some familiarity and respect between him and Kobe Bryant.
All-star Kobe Bryant said “Tough day. I've seen coaches as well as friends come and go. No matter how many years I've been playing, it's still hard to deal with. I had a good relationship with Mike and I will continue to have one. I wish him and his family nothing but the best. I spoke with him today and thanked him for all of his hard work and sacrifice.” Kobe and the Lakers quickly moved forward from the firing and immediately grabbed their 2nd win against Golden State. Firing Brown might have been the solution all along is what many will say. However looking back at last season, Brown implemented a defense last season he brought over from Cleveland which had the Cavs as the best defensive team in the NBA 2 straight years. Last year it made the Lakers one of the tops in west and pretty good statistically around the NBA. This year the new presence of Dwight Howard was supposed to help solidify an already impressive defensive team but it has been anything but. Together the Lakers have been lost on defense in nearly every game thus far. It’s almost looked as worse as there new offense, called the “Princeton hybrid”. It’s uncertain as to why Brown choice to add this to the Laker offense but for it, has cost him his walking papers and made the Lake show look downright silly at times. They are shooting ungodly shooting percentages and turnovers tops in the league. It’s unclear of how long the Lakers plan to stick with Bernie Bickersatff, regardless in the meantime they need to pile on in the winning column soon. With loaded teams like the Clippers, the veteran Spurs, and the run n’ gunning Thunder, the western conference will be a dogfight to the end and playoff positioning will be critical.

President Barack Obama Victory Speech 2012

4 score and 4 years ago Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the 44th president of the United States of America. 4 years later the American people have again appointed him leader of this great nation. In the early hours of the night an uncertainty hung over the Obama camp like a bad storm. They trailed considerably as the first states drew conclusion of their votes. While there was many counts being tallied there were also as many conflicting reports of a clear cut leader. This would eventually go in favor for Barack and company. As the swing states begun to fall in line, he would win nearly all of them including Ohio and the 55 pointer, California. When the clock approached 11pm Eastern Time it was evident that Barack Obama would have exactly what he had hoped for, four more years.
Heading into the wee hours of the night one of the most important of the swing states, Florida had not yet concluded there voting. Florida was said to be most critical this year to the campaign of both Obama and Romney. Had Florida been punctual it still wouldn’t have gave Governor Romney the lead but it could have closed a considerable gap. However the voting woes continued in Florida and who the state chose is still unclear at this time. What is clear is that the Obama camp was so far ahead, the missing Florida vote did not stop his victory. Governor Romney edged out the president in many states but the ones with bigger impact such as Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio all were in favor of Obama.

Looking forward to the future and the obstacles that still lies ahead of this Obama cabinet, many feel there are still questions to be answered and things to be done. The president has implemented a new healthcare reform but what else he will change this term is a question many in the nation are asking. During his campaign he was faced with similar questions and Obama was quick to note how uncooperative congress was. Congress shut down many proposed bills from the Obama administration. Too often were his plans and attempts rejected by republicans in the house. Furthermore In his acceptance speech he says he hopes that in this term his administration and congress can work together to make America better rather than oppose each other on every issue. Maybe then the concerns of all will be heard, becoming a more unified America and not a land of divided people.

Obama and Romney: the final stretch

This time of year the polls are usually the most misleading, but with just 2days away until the big day numbers all around the country are confirming this one of the closest races ever. According to CNN’s national poll “it’s a dead heat”, meaning it’s a complete tie. Influencing the race this year was the huge turnout in the early voting. Battleground states like Florida had one of the biggest turnout‘s in the entire nation. This will be pivotal, as Florida was one of the states that led Barack Obama to be the clear cut winner in the last presidential election. This last stretch run of campaigning both parties are making last ditch efforts to speak in citites and hammer home their number 1 issue.

Sandy update

As the streets of the northeast begin to slowly clear from debris, bodies start to surface. The death toll rises to 110 In the united states, 2 in Canada, and a total 67 in Caribbean. The deaths throughout the states stretch from New York, Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and the Carolina’s. The restoration efforts will continue to go on for quite some time as New Yorkers and its surrounding states know this recovery will not be an overnight success. The power outages are slowly being reduced from 3 million to now 1.5, with New York still having about 75% of the outages left. The lack of power still leaves 30% of the gas stations closed in the New York, Connecticut, and parts of New Jersey metropolitan areas. So far the residents of the New York, Connecticut, and Jersey Metropolitan areas have applied and received about $137 million dollars in assistance from FEMA, with many more still planned to be dished out. Along with FEMA and the U.S Military, Wal-Mart, PepsiCo, are all doing their part in helping the American people by donating millions dollars in supplies, food, and beverages. The biggest concern after the storm is getting trailers and shelters for the many Americans with uninhabitable homes, as the cold of winter rolls in, homelessness will not be an option for survival.

Police helicopter crash kills 2

Atlanta police officers, Richard Halford(48) and Shawn Smiley(40), were killed in a helicopter crash late Saturday afternoon. The officers were responding to the search for a 9 year old boy, but the search ended tragically with their own deaths. It started as a helicopter search for a missing 9-year old boy. The crash happened just miles from downtown. Sources say it was flying low so the officers would have better visibility during their search said Atlanta Police Chief George Turner. Both officers were killed on impact of the crash. Sadly both officers were Father’s and husbands leaving behind families. Richard Halford joined the force in 1986 and was part of the air unit for the past 16 years; he leaves behind a wife and 21-year-old daughter. His partner Shawn Smiley leaves behind his wife and three children, ages: 5, 7 and 9. Smiley became an officer on the Atlanta force in 2010."Losing an officer is the most difficult thing a police chief can face," Turner said. "Losing two is an unthinkable tragedy. Our hearts go out to the families of these officers and our thoughts and prayers are with them. This is a difficult day ... it is a reminder of their bravery and the sacrifices made by our officers every day."

Zoo attack, in Pittsburgh

The unimaginable happened at a Zoo exhibit in Pittsburgh Sunday. A 3 year old boy fell inside the “African painted dogs” exhibit. It was a 14 foot fall from observation deck, said the zoo’s president Barbara Baker. After the fall staffed was alerted quickly, and moved 7 of the 11 dogs out of the exhibit, and darts were shot to scare the other 4 away. The dogs had formed the mind of a pack and the darts did nothing to stop the commencement of the brutal attack. Emergency teams and Police eventually were able to get inside but at that point the damage had been done, and 3 year lost his life. The African painted dogs are some of the most ferocious wild dogs and are among the endangered dog species in the world, they are about the size of a small German Shepherd. The zoo which also has a breeding program for these dogs will be closed until further notice and pending an investigation.

HURRICANE SANDY: "Ask not what you can do for America..."

The north east coast is known for its sleepless cities, gigantic metropolitan areas, and beautiful fall scenery. This fall the beauty has transformed from serene into a dock for mayhem, destruction and havoc. Fast moving cities like New York have slowed down, are caged in and everyday life as we know it has shifted from business as usual to starting over. From Maine all the way down the eastern beaches, American’s have had their lives altered in a way no one could imagine. Structures, businesses, and homes have suffered irreparable damage and some landmarks are no longer recognizable. As many as 75 lives lost from state to state, and millions more altered forever. Nearly 4 million homes and businesses are still without power. In the midst of chaos, families are forced to pick up the pieces of what’s left of their livelihood. With billions of dollars needed to repair lives and structures that stretch throughout 10 states of America, where is the financial aiding and relief going to come from? Fema, Red Cross, thousands of non-profit organizations, and a government that’s trillions of dollars in debt will all pull together and throw what pennies they have on the table and separate it accordingly but has anyone ever thought to ask, will any of these countries who call themselves allies, come to the aid of America?
Start a war in the middle-east, tell us your enemy has weapons of mass destruction, or pick on your defenseless neighbor and America will come running like the big brother. For many decades now America has come to the rescue of dozens of countries without hesitation. Whether it is war or natural disaster, the needs of many countries outside the United States are met continuously. The U.S has served as the ultimate conglomerate; peacemaker, mediator, a philanthropy nation, and world police. After paying a debt to the world many times over, when and where does the aid for America come? We open are door and offer the world an opportunity to live in best country in the world but soon suffer from the same storms we shelter are neighbors from. This nation fights the wars of many but loses battles in our own back yard. If you take a step back and examine the disasters and tragedies that have struck this great nation by the masses, who was there to help America rebuild where we lacked?  It seems several countries collectively have adopted the motto “ASK NOT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR AMERICA, BUT RATHER WHAT AMERICA CAN DO FOR YOU”
